This Youth Empowerment and Leadership Workshop is tailored specifically to young people from Senegalese, Martinican, and wider Martinique communities. The workshop’s objective is to cultivate leadership skills, encourage active citizenship, and inspire confidence among the next generation.
Program Overview:
Starting at 10:00 AM, the day begins with an energizing group activity designed to build teamwork and communication skills. Following this, an interactive seminar explores the qualities of effective leaders and the importance of community engagement.
Mid-morning sessions feature practical skill-building workshops on public speaking, project management, and conflict resolution. These sessions are highly interactive, with role-playing exercises and group discussions that allow participants to practice new skills in a supportive environment.
Lunch will be provided at 1:00 PM, offering a chance for informal mentoring and networking with local community leaders and professionals who serve as role models and advisors.
The afternoon focuses on personal development, with sessions covering goal setting, self-confidence building, and managing challenges specific to immigrant and multicultural youth. Participants will work in small groups to create action plans for community projects they would like to implement.
The workshop will close with a “Youth Voices” panel discussion, where attendees have the opportunity to share their experiences, aspirations, and ideas for improving community life.
This event aims to empower young people with the tools and motivation to become active leaders and change-makers in their communities.
